The WindStor project aims to develop a first tool for optimizing energy conversion and storage on board the FARWINDER, a wind-powered vessel that drives a hydro-generator under its hull in order to produce energy while moving. The WinStor project aims to initiate the collaboration and will address several targeted issues: Define the architectures of the energy conversion system on board the ships / Define the energy and economic models of the selected components / Study the quantities impacting the dimensioning of the energy system / Study the management strategies of the system / Establish a system optimization tool to assist in the design
