The cost reduction of fuel-cells remains one of the main issue for their large market acceptance. The AMADEUS project develops a new process for manufacturing PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell), from the process optimisation, its reliability to its valorisation (technology transfer to an industrial). This process rely on deposition by plasma pulverisation, using electrodes directly deposited over membranes (CCM), in particular high performance membranes developped at the CEA Le Ripalut. This potentially low-cost process will allow to manufacture compact (i.e. enabling miniaturisation), efficient and reliable assemblies.
