The objective of the VITISOLAR project is to develop a sustainable agrivoltaic solution for the wine industry based on a structure ideally suited to the vine, equipped with orientable photovoltaic panels, allowing the combination of plant protection and renewable energy production, compatible with wine-growing methods. This emblematic cross-field project for the New Aquitaine region will be the first : - Demonstrator on existing vines over 10 years old fully mechanized, which will allow to have first results of impacts as early as 2022. - To implement a systemic approach that involves the study of the photovoltaic structure, the plant (growth, water, diseases), the biodiversity (soil, fauna and flora), the compatibility with the agricultural conduct, and the different technical-economic scenarios up to the electrification of the uses (terminals, storage, agricultural machinery). - To build the process with the stakeholders of the wine industry through three committees: industry professionals, scientists and citizens. This project aims to place New Aquitaine as a leader in the agri-PV field in one of the agricultural sectors most affected by the effects of climate change, with the prospect of developing training, jobs and, with a New Aquitaine consortium, significant economic benefits for the region.
