The goal of the HNV project (Hydrogen New Version), carried by the company ATHENA RESEARCH and Innovation, is to produce green and local hydrogen from industrial effluents. To achieve this production, ATHENA studies bacteria that transform these industrial waste into hydrogen. This project is part of a circular economy approach to local energy production from waste for energy applications but also mobility through the use of hydrogen in a fuel cell. A first proof of concept has already been realized and the ambition of this project is to go into pre-industrial phase.
