Improving the efficiency of wind power generation is a major challenge to ensure the profitability of a renewable energy farm. The Smarteole project aims this kind of improvements through research and development of innovative solutions at different levels: the blade level, the wind turbine itself and the wind farm level. The project will contribute to the development of the concept of “smart rotor” to improve the conditions of wind turbine operation.
