EMODI is an industrial research project, whose goal is to optimize the predictive and curative maintenance of submarine cables connected to offshore energy farms. It aims to identify the constraints for the current solutions of defect search by echometry and to study solutions to exceed the limits by the real time monitoring of the state of the cable. These studies will be consolidated by bench tests and numerical simulations of the thermomechanical behavior of the cable, ultimately allowing the industrial development of solutions that increase the availability of offshore renewable production.
