Wind turbines must make the most of the available wind, in order to produce electricity optimally. The adjustment of the angle of incidence of the blades is an essential stake to optimize their yield, nevertheless this adjustment remains rather rudimentary to date. In this perspective, the E-penon electronic and autonomous sensor was developed by Mer Agitée company to allow a real-time and remote diagnosis of the quality of the flow on the blades of a wind turbine. The data is measured by a strain gauge and reassembled by radio to the automation which exploits them to adapt the setting of the blades of the wind turbines.
