The VERDI project (Electric Vehicle and Renewable Energies in an Intelligent Distribution Networks) proposes the development of methods for optimizing the use of the distribution network in order to reduce the need for reinforcement and to limit the environmental impact related to the increase in power consumption. VERDI proposes the development of an intelligent and communicating charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in conditions allowing: - Limit the environmental impact by avoiding the charging of electric vehicles during peak hours which requires highly "carbonated" electricity generation sources, and by promoting the charging of electric vehicles during favorable periods of energy injection renewable on the network. - Limit the economic impact by avoiding the charging of electric vehicles during peak hours to minimize the cost of routing and reinforcing distribution networks - Offer services to electric vehicle users (commercialization of erasing capacity during peak hours, services to encourage electric mobility, etc.). VERDI will also be able to offer services to power system operators (distribution and transmission), load infrastructure operators and customers who use electric vehicles.
