This basic research project aims to identify and develop solid organic insertion materials (mono-molecular state) performing for positive and negative electrodes of lithium battery, and will conclude with a first prototyping of non-aqueous organic batteries capable of delivering to minus two volts. To carry out this ambitious and innovative project, five well-identified partners (IMN, LRCS, LG, ICR and CEA-Liten) belonging to the French Energy Storage Network (RS2E) will unite their strengths and their different know-how. do in particular in organic synthesis methodologies, in electrochemistry and chemistry of materials or in assembly of complete batteries.
