FineHeart develops the Implantable Cardiac Output Management System (ICOMS), a new generation of Left Ventricle Assistance Device (LVAD) consisting of two parts: a mini-invasive pump, and a transcutaneous energy transmission, storage and management system. Energy. The set constitutes an active implantable medical device class III subject to very strict regulations. In particular, the temperature rise of the internal tissues must not exceed 2 degC. In this project, the aim is to carry out the thermal feasibility study that is to say, to identify a first solution respecting this temperature constraint by optimizing the energy yields of the subsystems and by proposing specific designs (shapes and biocompatible materials) for the housings.
