The application of flexible electronic products will become more and more important in our everyday life. It is therefore important to develop new materials with properties that can meet the needs of the industry. In this project, we want to study the structure/properties relationships of azobenzene-type photo-sensitive polymers and demonstrate their interest for the flexible electronics industry. The trans-cis photoisomerization of these polymers leads to important modifications of the glass transition temperature and mechanical properties. By bringing together specialists in polymer synthesis, coatings, printing techniques and a potential end-user, we want to study their application as reversible or self-healing adhesive coatings as well as their impact on printing processes on flexible substrates by controlling the synthesis of azopolymers.
