MICE

Completed

Intracardiac catheters for ultrasound imaging are experiencing increasing demand worldwide. Unlike external probes, these products are for single use only. Production volumes are becoming increasingly important and will eventually require the implementation of industrialization adapted to high volumes. The R & D efforts for several years have made it possible to develop a new sector of sensors based on collective manufacturing from microelectronics. However, there are still many challenges, particularly the encapsulation of this sensor, where many process and material innovations have to be made to meet mass production and technical and normative requirements. This is the challenge of the MICE project that will allow VERMON to offer a breakthrough product, and in the longer term to introduce these process innovations to VERMON's entire catalog of ultrasound probes.
