LUMINEUX

The LUMINOUS project focuses on the societal problem of energy efficiency and overconsumption caused by urban lighting. According to ADEME, public lighting accounts for 41% of local authority electricity consumption. It should be noted that the impact of controlling public lighting does not only concern the reduction of energy consumption, but also the safety of people and property, and the reduction of light pollution. The main objective of the LUMINEUX project is to make urban and peri-urban lighting intelligent by combining an embedded and communicating vision system.
