IPCEI ON MICROELECTRONICS

In progress

The project's ambition is to develop new Power Management solutions for the needs of applications related to mobility and the industry of the future. Reducing energy losses in the components, offering flexible solutions in voltage and current, are the main points of focus. The major objective of the project is the deployment of new technologies and new products for power applications according to the following axes: - The development of power components for conversion and transmission, in GaN (gallium nitride), diodes and transistors - The development of power components for conversion and transmission, in silicon, diodes and transistors, beyond the current state of the art - The development of functions for energy management that will drive the above components - Heterogeneous integration that will allow the realization of compact power function - The study of the compatibility of GaN-based components with space and aeronautical applications - The deployment of adapted modern manufacturing tools (Industry 4.0) R & D & I activities as well as first industrial deployment will be carried out, based on the integrated circuits that will be realized under the IPCEI, by ST or other partners.
