In the race to enhance the energy efficiency of electronic components, one of the most promising paths remains the use of grand gap semiconductor materials such as Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN). The G²REC project aims at building this new industrial field taking into account its whole value chain : from the substrate manufacturing, the thin-film deposition by epitaxial process, the component processing ; to its end-usage in electronic systems.
