The proposed research work aims to investigate new high reliability passivation materials for power electronics components. These materials should eventually replace the layers of lead glass passivation which is restricted by its toxicity. The expected results are on the one hand the development of suitable glass compositions and on the other hand the obtaining of reliable components over time when they are in tension.
