Today, the providers of PLC (Power Line Communication) solutions specify a theoretical data rate which is rarely reached within the customer installation because this data rate is sensitive to the quality of the building electrical grid. The target of CPLDIAG project is therefore to characterise the unitary elements of the electrical grid in order to yield the modelling parameters which will be themselves compared to experimental measurements. This approach will eventually allow the development of grid diagnosis tools which will predict the possible performances of indoor PLC.
