VERMON

VERMON is an independent French ETI, founded in 1984 in Tours from research work carried out at the Tours Faculty of Medicine on Doppler echocardiography. The company develops, manufactures and markets ultrasound transducers or ultrasound probes on an OEM basis for customers of all sizes (from start-ups to international groups), with a team of 400 people in France and the USA. Exports account for 95% of sales, in two market segments: medical imaging and industrial non-destructive testing. VERMON's expertise means it has complete control over design, prototyping, characterisation, testing and industrialisation, while complying with standards and regulatory requirements. Innovation has been at the heart of VERMON's activities since the company was founded. Every year, 15% of turnover is invested in R&D, and the company participates in numerous regional, national and European innovation projects. This policy has led to the development of new technologies and products, including active probes with advanced electronic functions, MEMS (CMUT/PMUT), lead-free materials....
