The objective of the laboratory PCMB, Physical Chemistry of Materials and Biomolecules, is the research for molecules with interesting potential in the industrial field. The laboratory focuses its work around three main areas: • The chemical and pharmacological study of a class of specific chemical compounds that are heterocyclic systems. • The targeting of molecules endowed with therapeutic properties, ie studying the transport of biologically active molecules to their biological target. • The physical chemistry of materials and electrolytes for energy storage and conversion. The team is also heavily involved in the development of electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors.
