The objective of this project is to develop thin layers made up of photoactive hybrid porous (MOF) solids in a context of solar energy conversion. The innovative character of the PhotoMOF project is based on the controlled integration of several photoactive components within the same structure immobilized on a surface. The main objectives will be i) to obtain panchromatic films that can act as light collectors, ii) to form long-lived separate charge states within MOFs, and iii) to produce solar fuels or to reduce carbon dioxide, through the combination of these redox equivalents with suitable electrocatalysts. Photophysical studies will better understand the factors that govern energy and electron transfer within these new hybrid materials.
