NEFISCIENCES

Results from follow-up campaigns and measurements in low-energy or net zero energy buildings show a significant difference between theoretical performance and actual performance. These differences can be attributed, at least partially, to their inhabitants. The project NEFISCIENCE studies the conditions of energy performance in residential and commercial buildings which could be both technical (especially through the human / machine interfaces), social and organizational. The research will be based on observations and repeated thorough interviews with employees and residents of the “La NEF” building users. Located in Tours, La NEF is an exemplary energy-performant building featuring both residential and commercial usage.
