In future household and transportation applications intermittent energy sources such as solar or wind power, will be increasingly used and will result in a growing need for storage of the produced energy. For this, the Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors are good candidates but they still present too high security risks for these applications (fire, explosion ...). The objective of this project is to develop new liquid electrolytes with lower flammability, and greater chemical stability compared to conventional organic electrolytes.
