The Syndicat Intercommunal d'Energie d'Indre-et-Loire (SIEIL) is the owner of the public electricity distribution networks. The syndicate develops and reinforces the public electricity distribution networks of the 271 towns in the department (with the exception of Tours). It manages the gas and public lighting networks of municipalities that so wish. It provides its member local authorities with a geographic information system that accurately represents the territory and its networks. The SIEIL is the competent territorial authority for the Plan Corps de Rue Simplifié (PCRS). SIEIL is also the owner of the public charging infrastructure for electric and hybrid vehicles within its territory.
