S2E2

Projects / Patent rights

From the first contact with partners for a collaborative project, the different partners together sign a Non Divulgation Agreement. This agreement concerns all actors of a project, industrialists and research organisations, and covers the set of documents exchanged on the subject.

As soon as projects are implemented, the partners can sign one or more agreements of cross collaboration called Patent Rights Agreement. At this stage of the project, own and common knowledge and patents taken out are defined, like those to be developed, as well as the condition of use, operating, dissemination or publication.

These documents are available for S2E2’s members taking part in collaborative projects.

Moreover, the French Ministry for the Economy & Finances and the French General Department for Companies have put on-line an “intellectual property Guide in Clusters of competitiveness”, a useful legal guide, in order to make the comprehension and control of the problems of intellectual property easier. This Guide relates the current regulation and practices, as well as recommendations, methodological tools, contractual models and tools. The objective of this Guide is to allow partners engaged in collaborative projects to organise and secure the intellectual property of their innovations.
