The smart grid or intelligent electric network concept is based on the idea of adjusting and optimising electric flux via use of information and communication technologies.
This modernisation of the electric network involves gathering information about the state of the network to optimise the balance between production, distribution and consumption.
In order to specify its positioning on the smart grid and the perimeter of its Strategic Business Area (DAS) 1 (Renewable energy and integration of decentralised production in the network), the cluster has identified the following 4 operations to which its protagonists bring their skills:
- The conventional production of energies and renewable energies
- The quality and efficiency of the power regulation and conversion systems
- Predictive and real time piloting (automation and control) of electric networks
- Stationary energy storage.
